Shadows and Reflections, Gaara Arts Inc

Philosophers and dreamers, lovers and schemers all know that both shadows and reflections are required for a balanced life. They are indeed, the opposite sides of the same coin. We can be reassured that “the brightest light throws the darkest shadow” and that if we face the light, our shadows will fall behind us. 

The female artists of Broken Hill who make up the art group GAARA  (Girls And Art in Regional Australia) know this only too well. Using a range of subject matter, artistic style and media in the exhibition, Shadows and Reflections, the artists in GAARA Arts have found harmony in the light and shade in our environment and in our lives that makes us human.
