Outback and Beyond, hosted by the Willyama Art Society, invites viewers to experience the Australian outback through fresh and unexpected perspectives. While the theme embraces the natural beauty of our landscape and lifestyle, the exhibition also ventures beyond the obvious. The artists explore a wide range of creative interpretations, from quirky and humorous depictions to darker, dystopian visions of the future.

This year’s exhibition promises a mix of works that will amuse, delight, and at times, disturb the onlooker, reflecting the Society’s dedication to pushing artistic boundaries. Founded in 1961, the Willyama Art Society has a proud history of fostering creativity, inspiring artists, and evolving alongside the vibrant cultural landscape of Broken Hill. Outback and Beyond continues this tradition, celebrating over 60 years of artistic expression.

Opening Night Details
Celebrate the opening night of the Outback and Beyond exhibition on Friday, 7th February, at 6 PM at the Broken Hill City Art Gallery. Enjoy light food, with bar facilities available, as you explore inspiring works by the Willyama Art Society.
